Sometimes everything looks so rosy on the outside. You see social media posts, jolly and happy people. In reality, most people are struggling to make it through the day. There is no perfection in life. There will be struggles, there is loss, there is hurt. In the meantime, there will be happiness, there will be joy, there will be ease.
Life is fleeting between good times and bad times. However, thinking we are going through difficulty and building in resentment and bitterness thinking others are happy while we are suffering can be very damaging.
No matter how happy people are, there is an inner struggle, some burden or challenge they are dealing with. Social media just captures some of the best moments and rather it is a platform that allows most to document that they managed to get through the day.
At the moment, things are considerably hard for people. The uncertainty, sadness and frustration people are battling with is taking a toll. Sometimes we are all inherently sucked into it. I believe no matter what life throws at you, you need to make the most of it. If this what it is, then be it.
The Quran says ‘Surely with difficulty is ease.’ You need to actively find the ease in the difficulty.
The spiritual mantra for difficult times are:
-Sabr (Patience)
-Shukr (Gratitude)
-Forgiveness
-Hope in the mercy of your Lord
Always believe better times are coming, God willing!
