Allah is Al- Muiz, the Giver and Owner of Honour. Some humans take it upon themselves thinking they own the power of giving another their honour.
For instance, how many people are oppressing the rights of others and going on a spree to ruin the honour of another? How many people think that being around people of high status will add to their honour? How many think that the more money they have, the more it adds to their honour?
As a creation of Allah your honour lies with Him alone. Your worth comes from Him alone. Pharaoh being the worst tyrant in history had a wife whom Allah brought forth as an example for the believers. Her worth was not because she was a powerful man’s queen but because of her Taqwa and her loyalty towards Allah.
Likewise, never put your worth in the hands of another human. Always own up to your worth and seek it from Allah. Our main purpose is to serve Him and to Him is our end goal. Therefore, seeking honour through another human, let it be anybody is never lasting. People forget that Rizq is from God, Honour is from God. The more you align with that, the more empowered you become.
