I got this custom-made prayer mat with my little girl’s name on it.  I purchased it from the Holy City of Medina when I went early this year. This was my third time being there while it was the first time for Zainab.

The main reason I got this prayer mat for her and some for her friends back at home as well was to serve as a powerful reminder of something that has served me all my life.

The reminder to pray regardless of what faith you may come from.

On my own journey, I’ve learned that surrendering in prayer isn’t about giving up. Rather, it’s about trusting completely in the path He’s laid out for us.
